Pop’s Pecan Pie

Grandma’s recipe for Pop’s favorite pie.

Ingredients

  • 4 large Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 1/3 cup Karo syrup
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 3 tbs Butter (melted)
  • 1 cup Pecan halves
  • 2 cup Pecans (chopped)
  • 1 10” deep dish pie shell

Instructions

  • Mix together beaten eggs, Karo syrup, sugar, vanilla, and *slowly* stir in melted butter.
  • Stir in pecans and pour into pie shell.
  • Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 350 degrees, and bake for an additional 35-40 mins.
