Strawberry Creamsicles/Cheesecake popsicles

These cream cheese pops are bursting with strawberry flavour and a dash of chocolate! Made with homemade cream cheese (and condensed milk) these are luscious and indulgent. Alternatively, you can use storebought ingredients to make them. Just ensure to adjust the sweetness accordingly. The berries add a lot of texture to these pops. They are so simple to make. In case you don't have popsicle moulds use paper cups, covered will aluminium foil and place the sticks and you are good to go! 🙂

Ingredients

Strawberry creamsicles

  • 1 cup Cream cheese (homemade/store brought)
  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed milk (homemade/store brought)
  • 1 .5 cup Frozen strawberries (10-12)
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate cake
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 2 tbs Sugar (+adjust as per taste)
  • 1/4 cup bashed oreo cookies

Instructions

  • In a large bowl whisk together the cream cheese and condensed milk until light and fluffy. Divide this mixture into two parts in a ratio of 3:1. (One will be flavoured with berries while the other with chocolate. Adjust as per preference. I used 3 parts for strawberries and 1 part for chocolate.)
  • Puree the frozen strawberries and mix them in one of the bowls (the largest part). Add in vanilla essence. Add sweetener as per taste. The mixture may taste sweet but after freezing it should be just fine.
  • In the remaining mixture add chunks of chocolate cake and Nutella. Add a thin layer of bashed oreo cookies. This mixture won't be very runny due to the cake (Alternatively, you can also add some melted chocolate), Add sugar if required as per taste.
  • Pour the strawberry mixture in popsicle moulds 1/3rd full and let set in the freezer for 30 mins.
  • Then add another layer of the chocolate layer and let sit for another 15 mins. Finish off with another layer of strawberry.
  • Let sit for another 15-20 mins. Insert sticks and let freeze overnight (or at least 8 hrs)
  • To remove, run the moulds through lukewarm water and the popsicle should come off. Serve chilled.
